The recent Apple event called “Wonderlust” was held on September 12 and debuted the new iPhone 15 series. The event was held on Apple Park Way in Cupertino, California, US. The iPhone has been one of the fastest-selling phones in the world for quite a few years now. Its operating system has its own fan base, and it creates an ecosystem that is different from the other phones in the marketplace.

The new law in 2022, enforced by the European Union, made Apple rethink its decisions. The lightning charge port has long been a staple of iPhones. In the iPhone 15 series, Apple has been forced to add the USB-C cable to the charger. This was a welcome addition for the users, as people thought that now all the devices, whether Apple or Android, would be charged with a single charger, reducing e-waste and expenditure for consumers. The iPhone 15 series does launch with a USB-C 3.0 port and also includes the new A17 Bionic chip for the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models, whereas the 15 and 15 Plus only get the previous A16 Bionic chip. This seems to be the trend with the previous iPhone series, as well as the fact that the normal and plus models always seem to get the upgrade package the previous Gen Pro and Pro Max models get. The iconic pill-shaped cut-out of the dynamic island makes an expected comeback, and the new titanium frame chassis makes the iPhone look a little bit smoother.

The more intricate improvements have come in the form of a better camera with the new 5x telephoto lens, Super Retina XDR display, ProMotion technology, and Always-On display in the Pro and Pro Max models. Apple CEO Tim Cook suggested that customers are willing to splash out to get the best iPhone possible. “I think people are willing to really stretch to get the best they can afford in that category,” he said. The Pro models will also feature the thinnest display bezels ever seen on an iPhone, thanks to a new production process. The information previously reported that the new thin border design had been posing production problems and could result in supply shortages at launch.

The new development, however, occurs when the Indian Government allows Apple to establish a factory in India. This will bring the prices of the iPhones down drastically, if not for the government’s tax laws. The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are being priced at Rs. 79,900 and Rs. 89,900 for the base models. Whereas the 15 Pro and Pro Max models are priced at Rs. 1,34,900 and Rs. 1,59,900 for their base models. In addition to this, the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 were also launched during the Apple event. Apple has also promised to go carbon neutral by 2030, a major step.
